Up and Down Tiles
Posted: October 20th, 2009 by MichelleThis flipchart provides practice with integer addition and subtraction. It is identical to card #1 in Marcy Cook's Up and Down Tiles set and can be used to model thought processes before students attempt to solve the cards on their own. The red portion of the thermometer can be moved up and down to demonstrate moving on a vertical number line.
Designed to address TEKS 7.2C, but is appropriate for 7th or 8th graders.
